Lee Edward "Hurk" McAdams

Lee Edward "Hurk" McAdams, 57, of Chicago, Ill., formerly of Holly Springs, died May 12, 2024, at his home. He was a member of Nation of Islam's Moorish Temple, a construction worker and truck driver.

Graveside services were held at 12:30 p.m. on May 24 at Yarbrough Chapel CME Church Cemetery. Bro. Ozine Joy officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Linda Lloyd McAdams; daughter, Latrice Williams (Terrance Sr.), Laquita McAdams, Lenience McAdams, all of Chicago; son, Lee Edward McAdams Jr. of Chicago; sisters, Virginia Brown of Atlanta, Ga., Gail Hight of Chicago, Angeline Joy of Memphis, Tenn., Barbara Pool, Constance Robinson, both of Holly Springs; brothers, Danny Pool of Holly Springs, Wayne Watson, Raymond Hight, both of Chicago, Reco Hight of Nashville, Tenn., James Lee Foster of Chicago; adopted mother, Lucille Hight of Chicago; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Lee McAdams Pool Johnson; and sister, Ginger Ann McAdams Pool.
