Lee Curtis Smith

Lee Curtis Smith, 84, of Raytown, Mo., formerly of Holly Springs, died Nov. 10, 2019, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo. He was a member of St. Stephen Baptist Church where he served as a church deacon. He was a retired factory worker with ADM. Co.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Nov. 20 at Hamilton Chapel CME Church in Waterford. Rev. Robert Odum officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves two children, Gwendolyn Douglas (Chuck) of Las Vegas, Nev., James R. Smith (Felicia) of Raytown; a brother, Joseph Smith Sr. of Waterford; and a special neice, Joyce Bowens ( David) of Waterford; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers, James E. Smith, James W. Smith; and grandsons, Paul Howard and DeShaun Franklin.
