L.C. Kirk
L.C. Kirk, 88, of Barton, died Sunday, Feb. 5, at the VA Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and served in the Korean War. He worked as production manager for White Stone Co. and was a Justice Court judge in Marshall County. He retired from Dana Corp. in Olive Branch. He served as associate pastor, Sunday school superintendent, teacher at Watson Community Chapel Church. He also sang and played music at Cedar Haven Baptist Church.
Services were held on Thursday, Feb. 9, 1 p.m., at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery in Memphis.
He leaves his wife, Joann Kirk; a son, Dana (Melanie) Kirk; a daughter, Gayle Kirk; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Mabel Kirk, Noner Mae Qualls, Helen Gatlin, Mayberine Bailey and Cloy Kirk.
