Laverne Hope Crutcher

Laverne Hope Crutcher, 64, of Byhalia, died May 15, 2023. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church and retired from Emerson Electric in Oxford.

Visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on May 26 from 3-6 p.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on May 27 at New Dimension Salt and Light Ministries. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

She leaves her husband, Harry Crutcher; daughter, Tracy Hope (Fabian Williams); sons, Otis Hope (Maneka Newsom), Cedric Hope (Dena), Jimmy Hope (Darlene Gipson), Anthony Hope (Ebony Freeman); mother, Lorine Hope; siblings, Betty Myles, Willie Rean Smith, Lester Hope Jr., Bradley Hope (Elvira); 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Hope; grandson, Markavion Hasberry; father, Lester Hope Sr.; siblings, Larry Hope, Gary Hope, George Hope, Dorothy Jean Smith and Sally Dixon.
