Larry N. Phillips

Larry N. Phillips, 65, of Holly Springs, died Jan. 24, 2017, at North Oak Regional Medical Center in Senatobia. A disabled carpenter, he was a member of Adolphus Chapel CME Church in Holly Springs, where he was a member of the male chorus and a church steward.

Services were held at 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 28 at Chulahoma MB Church. Burial was in the Adolphus Chapel CME Church Cemetery. Rev. Billy Williams officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Gloria Bowens Phillips; a daughter, Teasha Rosser of Southaven; four sons, Tretrius Bowens, Marlon Phillips, LaDarren Phillips, all of  Holly Springs, Sean Neely of Southaven; his father and mother, Renard Phillips and Darnie Fitts Phillips of Holly Springs; five sisters, Bernie Mae Gidding of University Park, Ill., Theresa Phillips, Jane Marie Phillips, both of Holly Springs, Patricia Phillips of Aurora, Ill., Mary Oliver of Senatobia; five brothers, Lloyd Phillips of Las Vegas, Nev., Ricky Phillips of Memphis, Tenn., George Wayne Phillips of Coldwater, Donald Phillips of University Park, Cardell Phillips of Coldwater; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
