Kim Reed Howie

Kim Reed Howie, 72, of Potts Camp, died August 18, 2023, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born September 18, 1950 in Monticello, Iowa, the son of Olin and Virginia Howie.

Kim is survived by his two sons, Reed Howie and JW Howie and his grandson, Palmer. He also left behind two sisters, Sandra Miller and Sherri Bannister, nieces and nephews and his best pal, ‘Goofy’, his dog.

Kim spent a good portion of his life with his head under the hood of a car. He loved restoring cars, racing and gathering at race tracks and car shows, talking about cars for hours. He met many life-long friends that he treasured.

Per Kim’s wishes, his body has been cremated and no formal service will be held. An open memorial has been established to the family.

Kim loved life, his family, friends and his dog. He will be greatly missed.
