Kay Skelton

Kay Skelton, 70 years old, of Memphis, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 23, 2022. Kay was born Aug. 23, 1951. She worked for many years in the medical field and was employed with Titah CPA in Germantown, Tenn. In her free time she enjoyed all outside activities and especially her flower garden.

Kay was a true believer in Jesus Christ and a member of Bridgeway Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, MS from the 1970s to her death. Kay was a caregiver and is still giving in her death as she donated her body to science to help others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vara and James Tucker, and father, Fred Pruitt. She is survived by her former spouse, Gene Skelton; son, Chuck; three grandsons, Christopher, Zack, Kyle Skelton; two sisters, Doris Waddle, Glenda Gray; one brother, Ronnie Pruitt and sister-in-law, Marty Pruitt. Kay also had four half-brothers, Roy, Ray, Tracy and Dale Pruitt; one half-sister, Tammy Gabel; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial and celebration of Kay will be held on July 16, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Bridgeway Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant, 1450 Boswell Road. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Kay's honor to Bridgeway Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant, P.O. Box 7, Mt. Pleasant, MS 38649.
