Katie Way Brown

Katie Way Brown, 82, of Michigan City, died September 22, 2023. She was a member of Hardaway MB Church.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 1 at Hardaway MB Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her children, Eddie Murdock of Michigan City, Willie Gloria Murdock of Corinth, Johnny Brown Jr., Monique Ronell Murdock both of Michigan City, Karachia Willie McKinnie, Rinnix Brown, both of Grand Junction, Tenn., Kenivil Brown, Karbicca Brown, both of Michigan City; sisters, Betty Richard of Memphis, Tenn., Dora White of Indianapolis, Ind., Gussie Torshell Turner of Grand Junction; brothers, Rickey Turner of Michigan City, Auther Turner, Deshawn Turner, both of Grand Junction; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Brown Sr.; sons, Rayford Murdock, Wayne Brown, Tracy Brown, Marcus Brown; sisters, Gladis Turner, Earlean Terry; brothers, Willie and Wiston Turner; a grandson, Tylerious Brown; and a step-daughter, Doris.
