Katie Mae Galloway Mayfield

Katie Mae Galloway Mayfield, 93, of Holly Springs, died April 5, 2021, at her home. She was a member of Jones Grove MB Church where she served on the mothers' board. She was a former factory worker at ITT Thompson.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on April 8 from 1-6 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 12 noon on April 9 at Charity Hill Cemetery in Holly Springs. Minister Charles Preston will officiate.

She leaves a daughter, Linda Preston of Holly Springs; four sons, James Franklin Mayfield, Raymond Mayfield Jr., Prentiss Mayfield, Kenneth Mayfield, all of Holly Springs; one sister, Rosie Glover of Holly Springs; one brother, Roosevelt Galloway of Holly Springs; 20 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Mayfield Sr.; daughters, Margaret Jean Mayfield, Queen Ester Mayfield; son, Leroy Mayfield; siblings, J.T. Burgess, L.C. White, Lloyd Galloway, Olia Martin and Mattie Delbridge.
