Katheryn "Katy" Smithers Hill

Katheryn "Katy" Smithers Hill, 62, of Hernando, formerly of Holly Springs, died May 9, 2025. She worked in installations and servicing for credit union programs in several locations over the years and was a lifetime member of Girl Scouts.
Visitation will be held at Hernando Methodist Church on June 7 at 10 a.m. with a memorial service at 11 a.m. A family graveside service will be held at Hill Crest Cemetery in Holly Springs.
She leaves her husband of 35 years, Richard Hill; daughter, Jessie Hill of Hernando; son, Jamie Hill (Mary Margaret) of Seattle, Wash.; and sister, Cindy Smithers of Austin, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lt. Colonel Ray Clifford Smithers and Anne Wilkins Smithers, and sister, Bess Pitts.
