Katherine Kellar-Howard

Katherine Kellar-Howard, 88, of Holly Springs, died August 27, 2021. She was a member of Anderson Chapel CME Church where she served as a member of the stewardess, usher board and the Board of Christian Education. She was employed as a nurse in Marshall County at North Mississippi Hospital, Dr. A.D. Jones Clinic, Dr. M.V. Green Clinic, and at Williams Medical Clinic where she retired.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Sept. 4 at Faith Deliverance Church in Brownsville, Tenn., Bishop Will F. Boyd was the eulogist. Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Sept. 14 at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Neuble Monument Funeral Home in Lebanon, Tenn. is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her siblings, Callie Reed of Decatur, Ill., Hester Nelson of Brownsville, Johnny Kellar (Aquilla) of Detroit, Mich., Mary King (Wallace) of Hampton,Va., Hazel Boyd (Bishop Will) of Brownsville, Thelma Alston (Lavon) of Collierville, Tenn., Major Wilburn Jr. of Bolivar, Tenn.; in-laws, Gloria Jean Lee (James) and Clarence Howard of Memphis, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Howard; five brothers, R.T., Lonzie Jr., Sullivan, James, Willie T.; and two sisters, Maggie and Frankie.
