Junior L. Kimmons

Junior L. Kimmons, 92, of Holly Springs, died Aug. 4, 2020, at New Albany Health and Rehabilitation Center. The widower of Aurthretta Williams Kimmons, he was a member of Powell Chapel MB Church, member of the Masonic Lodge, and a retired self-employed construction laborer.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 11 at Macedonia CME Church Cemetery in Ashland. Rev. Dr. Patrick Washington officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves four children, Lucy Walls of Holly Springs, Ella Kimmons of Memphis, Tenn., Billy Kimmons of Ashland, Michael Kimmons of Huntsville, Ala.; a sister, Betty Joe Kimmons of Atlanta, Ga.; 40 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by seven children, Arthur Cowan, John Kimmons, Junior L. Kimmons Jr., Cartica Kimmons, Betty Yates, Brenda Crawford, Daffaney Harris; and 10 siblings.
