Judith Ann Thompson Weatherly
In Loving Memory
Judith Ann Thompson Weatherly
Judith Ann Thompson Weatherly, age 74, of Holly Springs, MS, passed away on January 19, 2023, at her home in hospice care with her family, from Pancreatic cancer. She grew up in Red Banks, MS, and went to school in Holly Springs, MS. She married in 1966 and moved around as an Air Force wife for 6 years before planting roots in Greater New Orleans, where she had a fulfilling family and career life. Judy loved having an open door for her family, friends, and absolutely all of the neighborhood kids. She was the young, fun, creative, and artistic mom that the kids gravitated towards. Her career took off when she was honored as the “Who’s Who” of Real-Estate in 1978, and she continued her career as a Real-Estate Broker, Builder, and Developer for over 40 years. Judy retired and returned home to Holly Springs so that she could care for her elderly father, the late James A. Thompson Jr. In her quest to find a home with no steps to accommodate her father, she found and bought Taylor Storage, which allowed her to continue working, take care of her dad, and socialize with her clients from home — she loved her clients.
She was also preceded in death by her mother, Addie Lee Tucker Thompson; and her brothers, Charles J. Thompson, James D. “Jimmy” Thompson, Aubrey Daniel “Danny” Thompson, and George Roberson.
Judy is survived by her Love of 23 years, William “Billy” Pierce; her sisters, Natha Jean “Peanut” Jackson (Eddie) and Myra Roberson; her brothers, William Roberson (Diane) and Daniel G. Roberson; her two children, Mary Ann Weatherly and Truman A.” Andy” Weatherly Jr.; seven grandchildren: Karim Al-Shaikhly (Brooke), Cassey” KC” Al-Shaikhly, Calem Al-Shaikhly (Brittany), Coriane Thomas (Chris), Truman “T3” Weatherly III, Roman Weatherly, and Polina Weatherly; she has five young great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews whom she also loved dearly.
Visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home at 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS 38635, on Saturday, January 28, 2023, between 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.. There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m., held at her final resting place, Red Banks Cemetery. A funeral reception will immediately follow.
