Juanita Oliver Ivy

Juanita Oliver Ivy, 90, of Holly Springs, died June 19, 2018, at Holly Springs Health and Rehab. She was pianist for Christ Temple COGIC and several other churches in Marshall County. She was a member of the NAACP and a retired teacher at ICS Head Start.

Services were held at 10 a.m. on June 30 at Christ Temple COGIC, where she was a member. Burial was in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Superintendent Albert Pass officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves five daughters, Shirley Kinkle, Marilyn Curry, Tina Selman, all of Holly Springs, Cynthia Terry of Southaven, Naomi Flagg of Austin, Texas; five sons, Cecil Ivy of Oakland, Calif., Carey Ivy of Huntsville, Ala., Samuel Ivy of Memphis, Tenn., Lynn Ivy of Holly Springs, Dwight Ivy of Batesville; a sister, Florence Stovall of Atlanta, Ga.; three brothers, Samuel Oliver of Sacramento, Calif., Charles Oliver of Byhalia, Robert Oliver of Oakland; 41 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two children, Erma Ivy and Herman Ivy Jr.
