Joyce Shaw

Joyce Shaw, 63, of Aurora, Ill., formerly of Holly Springs, died June 30, 2026, at her daughter’s home. She was a member of Smith Grove MB Church where she served as church usher. She was cafeteria manager at Henry Junior High School in Byhalia.

Services were held at Smith Grove MB Church on July 11 at 10 a.m. Pastor Michael Gordon officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her daughter, Ashley Kirkwood of Aurora; sisters, Bertha B. Newsom of Fort Wayne, Ind., Teresa Oliver, Debbie Shaw-King (Kip), both of Holly Springs, Georgia Shaw Hubbard of Aurora, Yolanda Shaw Johnson (Terrance) of Memphis, Tenn.; brothers, Maurice Shaw, Melvin Shaw (Michelle), both of Aurora, Thomas Lyles of Fort Wayne, Tyrone Morrison of Chicago, Ill.; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Romni Shaw; parents, Morris Jr. and Perline Shaw; siblings, Vellssa Shaw Luellen and Trent Ingram.
