Joyce Denise Whaley Young

Joyce Denise Whaley Young, 52, of Olive Branch, formerly of Potts Camp, died January 3, 2022, at her home. She attended Mighty God Ministries in Victoria and was an accountant at Methodist LeBonheur Health Care in Memphis, Tenn.

Visitation will be held at Mt. Ollie MB Church in Potts Camp on Jan. 10 from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Anthony Marion will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Ollie Church Cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves two daughters, Brianna Sumler, Kierra Sumler, both of Olive Branch; six sisters, Charlene Cummings of Blue Mountain, Roxie Whaley of Potts Camp, Barbara McCary, Deborah Whaley, both of Holly Springs, Brenda Whaley of Colorado, Sandra Whaley of Ripley; two brothers, Sammie Whaley of Potts Camp, and Michael Whaley of Victoria.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Lillie Gray Whaley; siblings, Doris Whaley and Jerry Whaley.
