Josephine Howell, 95, of Grand Rapids, MI, formerly of Holly Springs, died Nov. 27, 2018. The widow of Charlie Claude Howell, she was a member of True Light Baptist Church where she was a very active member serving in the Missionary Society. She was also a member of the Bethlehem Charter #20 Order of the Eastern Star.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 8 at True Light Baptist Church. Pastor Carl A. Pace Jr. officiated. Burial was in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Brown's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves her daughter, Kitt Simpson; a brother Joe (Margaret) Oliver; and one sister-in-law, Bernice Oliver.
She was preceeded in death by two brothers James Brown Jr. and Westley Oliver Sr.
