Joseph "Pepper" Falkner

Joseph "Pepper" Falkner, 82, of Holly Springs, died March 25, 2019, at his home. He was a former member of Chulahoma MB Church and a member of New Independent MB Church in Coldwater. He was a self-employed painter.

Services were held at 3 p.m. on March 30 at Chulahoma MB Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Peggy Flowers Falkner; two sons, Lavell Falkner of Chicago, Ill., Darrin Falkner of Arlington, Tenn.; four daughters, Joyce Thell of Memphis, Termetra Wilson and Jackqueline Orr, both of Cordova, Dorothy Cathey of Senatobia; three stepsons, Tommy Walker of Holly Springs, Clement Flowers of Milwaukee, Wis., Torry Flowers of Holly Springs; two stepdaughters, Frankie Carter and Phelica Flowers of Milwaukee; eight sisters, Annie Pearl Burton of Kansas City, Kan., Josephine Sain of Chicago, Annie Kemp of Portland, Ore., Corine Pryor of Chicago, Roberta Hunter and Lavisha Faulkner, both of Holly Springs, Beatrice Wilson and Helen Alexander, both of St. Louis, Mo.; five brothers, Robert Alexander of Holly Springs, Grady Alexander Jr. of St. Louis, Al Alexander and Vincent Alexander, both of Memphis, Julius Alexander of Atlanta, Ga.; 27 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl Faulkner and Ollie Mae Alexander; and four brothers, John Alexander, Frank Alexander, Larry Alexander and Wilbert Alexander.
