Johnnie Mae Harper Anderson

Johnnie Mae Harper Anderson, 104, of Holly Springs, died Dec. 15, 2016, at Methodist Hospital in Olive Branch.  The widow of Henry Anderson, she served on the usher board and as a missionary. She was a retired domestic worker and a housewife.

Visitation was Dec. 21, 2-7 p.m. and with family from 6-7 at the funeral home and Dec. 22 from 10-10:55 a.m. at the church.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 22 at Anderson Chapel CME Church of Holly Springs, where she was a member. Burial was in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Rev. William Banks, pastor, will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves a daughter, Madora Anderson of Holly Springs; two sons, Eugene Anderson of Holly Springs, George Anderson, of Chicago, Ill.; 19 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren and 36 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Iristine Anderson and two sons, Edward Anderson and Henry Anderson Jr.
