John Wesley Milan

John Wesley Milan, 76, of Byhalia, died Mar. 16, 2021, at his home. He was a member of Union Valley MB Church and a retired maintenance worker with the Marshall County road service.

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. on Mar. 23 at Union Valley MB Church Cemetery in Byhalia. Rev. Lonnie Whitfield officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Mary Isabella Jones Milan; five daughters, Alberta Jones Smith of Holly Springs, Mae Ellen Jones of Byhalia, Bertha B. Clark of Fisherville, Ky., Evangeline Jones Martin of Olive Branch, Camelia Jones of Arlington, Texas; three sons, Floyd Jones, John Wesley Jones, both of Byhalia, Justice Cancer of Albany, N.Y.; two sisters, Queen Ester Washington of Madisonville, Ky., Evangelist Virginia McFadden of Holly Springs; two brothers, Robert Lee Milan of Jackson, James Milan of Holly Springs; 28 grandchildren, 36 greatgrandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Ann Jones; son, Curtis Jones; sisters, Birtha Mae Milan and Arlie Mae Richmond.
