John Warner Mansel

John Warner Mansel, 79, of Potts Camp, died December 14, 2023, at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis, Tenn. He was a truck driver and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 18 at Salem Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife of 54 years, Butone Connell Mansel; daughters, Tonya Graham (Joe) of Potts Camp, Alicia Watts (Art) of Oxford, Mendi Mayo of New Albany; sisters, Peggy Cook, Betty Alderson, Mary Neal, Rose Clark, Brenda Gregg, Verona Bridges, all of Potts Camp; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Renee Mansel; brothers, Henry Mansel, William Mansel; and sister, Willie Margaret Mansel.
