John Lee Sumlar

John Lee Sumlar, 85, of Coldwater, died April 26, 2022, at Horn Lake. He was a member of Mt. Newell MB Church and was a retired construction worker.

Services and burial were held at 11 a.m. on May 7 at Carter Sunset Memorial Gardens in Senatobia. Rogers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife Billie Jo Sumlar; daughters, Diane Wells of Fort Wayne, Ind., Cathey Pryor of Holly Springs, Cherise Sumlar of Nashville, Tenn., Angela Sumlar of Olive Branch; son, Brian Sumlar of Holly Springs; sisters, Barbara A. Watson, Jerline Watson, Frankie Bell, Jeannette Barksdale, all of Holly Springs, Chritine Davis of Byhalia; brothers, Leon Watson of Red Banks, Boyce Watson, Simon King, Oscar Watson, all of Holly Springs; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
