John Lee Spight

John Lee Spight, 74, of Holly Springs, died May 24, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. He was a member of Hopewell No. 2 MB Church where he served on the deacon board and in the male chorus. He was a member of Powell Chapel Masonic Lodge #339, a former member of Stars of Faith and Twilight Singers gospel groups. He was a retired supervisor for Carrier Corp. in Collierville, Tenn.

Services were held at 11 a.m. at Hopewell No. 2 MB Church in the Hudsonville community. His son, Rev. Anthony J. Spight officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Annie Jean Bryson Spight; three daughters, Jeanette M. Spight of Hattiesburg, Aminta L. Spight of Holly Springs, Jacinta M. Winston of Atlanta, Ga.; one son, Rev. Anthony J. Spight; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Ida Mae Spight Burton.
