John Lane Hobson

John Lane Hobson, 75, of Lamar, died July 13, 2023, at his home. He was a retired Master Sergeant with the Mississippi Highway Patrol and owner of Hobson Body Shop.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on July 16 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ashland.
He leaves his wife, Betty Mason Hobson; son, Jonathan L. Hobson (April) of New Albany; daughter, Alana Crawley of Olive Branch; two sisters, Nancy Hobson of Texas, Hazel Rogers of Ashland; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gaylon Hobson and sister, Aileen Smith.
