John Edward Lucas

John Edward Lucas, 70, of Holly Springs, died July 18, 2026, at his home. He was a member of Pleasant Grove MB Church and worked at Mulay Plastics.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Aug. 7 from 1-6 p.m. And on Aug. 8 at Pleasant Grove MB Church from 9-9:55 a.m. with services at 10 a.m. Rev. Albroderick Neely will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He leaves his daughters, Andrea Lucas Knox of Nashville, Tenn., Dominique Rhine ofAshland; sisters, Annie Omega Hollaway of Chicago, Ill., Virginia Lucas Lasenby of Plainsfield, Ill., Patricia Lucas of Holly Springs; brothers, Luquinton Lucas of Huntsville, Ala., Wilfred Lucas of Dallas, Texas; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Lucas Sr. and Mattie Lee Lucas; siblings, Vaccaro Bell, Straughter Bell, Willie Lee Bell and Willie Lucas Jr.
