John Boyuka Jr.

John Boyuka Jr., 75, of Holly Springs, died April 19, 2021, at Methodist Germantown Hospital in Germantown, Tenn. He was in the U.S. Marine Corp and owned several businesses, including a restaurant. He was a member of the Collins/Hurdle VFW Post #5697 and played Santa Claus for many years.

Services and burial will be held at 11 a.m. on April 30 at Memphis National Cemetery in Memphis, Tenn. Holly Springs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his daughters, Cynthya Boyuka, Shelia Platt, Beverly Gutrie; a special friend, Barbara Joyce Hodge; brother, William Boyuka-Hudson; sister, Elaine Boyuka Beard; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynda; brothers, Michael "Mickey" Boyuka, Frank Hudson Jr.; and a sister, Becky Millea.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the State Veteran's Administration Home, 120 Veterans Drive, Oxford, MS 38655.
