Joel Robert Newsom, 87, of Panama City Beach, Fla., formerly of Holly Springs, died Aug. 21, 2020. He was the widower of Betty Newsom. He was the son of Ruby and Billy Newsom of Holly Springs.
Graveside services were held on Sept. 16 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Kent-Forest Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves a son, Benjamin Newsom; sisters, Ruby (Dolly) White of Holly Springs, Marjorie Newsom Haffner of Tampa, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
