
Jodie Jones Jr.
Jodie Jones Jr., 59, of Byhalia, died Sept. 23, 2018, at his home. The widower of Dora D. Smith-Jones, he was employed with Webb and Sons Construction.
Services were held at 12 noon on Oct. 6 at Berachah Ministries COGIC, where he was a member. Rev. Curtis Pritchard Sr., pastor, and Min. Sammie Smith, officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves seven children, Sammie Smith (Curtanya), Robert Smith (Margaret), both of Holly Springs, Aaryn Jones of Memphis, Tenn., Debra Glover (Grant) of Lake Center, Vernola Hawkins (Corey) and Teresa Thomas (Eric), both of Red Banks, Lemonica Walker (Adrian) of Byhalia; his mother, Rosie Jones of Brownsville, Tenn.; three brothers, Danny Lee Jones, Dale Robertson Jones, both of Mt. Pleasant, Charles Jones of Brownsville, Tenn.; three sisters, Mary Liza Williams of Memphis, Freddie Mae, Leester Jones, both of Mt. Pleasant; 31 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dewayne Campbell, a brother, Wade Carl Jones and a grandson Davian McKenney.
