Jimmie Doyle Westmoreland, 80, of Potts Camp, died April 27, 2019, at his home. He was a member of Temperance Hill Baptist Church and employed with the Piper Corporation in New Albany until his retirement.

A private graveside service was held at 2 p.m. on April 29 at Temperance Hill Cemetery. Minister Zack Caldwell officiated. New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife of 51 years, Reber Martin Westmoreland; a daughter, Paula Mansel (Neil) of Potts Camp; one sister, Shirley Brandon of Potts Camp; one brother, James "Johnny" Westmoreland of Potts Camp; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. The family requests memorials be made to the area's Gideon Society.
