Jerry Lee Shaw

Jerry Lee Shaw, 66, of Fort Wayne, Ind., formerly of Holly Springs, died June 17, 2025, at his home. He was a former member of Mt. Moriah MB Church and Smith Grove MB Church and retired after 39 years from Johnson Control Company in Aurora, Ill.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on July 5 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and on July 6 at Smith Grove MB Church from 2-2:55 p.m. with services at 3 p.m. Rev. Michael Gordon will officiate. Burial with be in the church cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Mary Burgess Shaw of Oakley, Calif.; children, Ariel Cooper Shaw, Jermond Shaw, both of Fort Wayne, Ind., Megan Terry (Antonio) of Yorkville, Ill., Tiffany Clash Shaw of Aurora, Ill., DeVante Burgess of Antioch, Calif., Allen Burgess, Ace Burgess, both of Los Angeles, Calif., Wilson Burgess of Dallas, Texas, Evelyn Burgess of Las Vegas, Nev., Britteny Burgess of Phoenix, Ariz., Ebony Burgess of Antioch; sisters, Geogia King, Loretta Shaw, Ruby Lee Poole (Melvin), all of Holly Springs, Bernice Walton of Memphis, Gwendolyn Haten of Harvey, La., Gwendolyn "Cookie" Shaw of Fort Wayne; brothers, Charles Byers (Hazel), Bernie Byers, Bernard Byers, all of Holly Springs, Randy Shaw, Roy Sylvester "Como" Shaw, both of Fort Wayne; 26 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Sheryl Pegues, Sylvester Byers, Jerry Byers and Albert Shaw.
