Jerry “Sonny” Williams Sr.

Jerry “Sonny” Williams Sr., 73, of Michigan City, died May 12, 2018, at his home. He owned and operated an auto body repair/detail business and wrecker service. He was a member of Mount Bethel Baptist Church.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on May 21,  at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home. Rev. Carmonted Duncan officiated. Burial was in JW Cemetery in Lamar.

He leaves five children, Pattie Lee Beard (Henry), and Shirley Ann Boyd of Ashland, Lisa Poplar of Michigan City, Jerry Williams Jr. (Toni) and Eddie Williams of Memphis, Tenn.; four sisters, Louise Joy of Memphis, Mary McKennery (Dan) of Phoenix, Ariz., Mae Kirkland of Indianapolis, Ind., Dorothy Williams of Los Angeles, Calif.; and one brother, Willie Williams of Cordova, Tenn.; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Louis Williams and Jonathon Williams; and three siblings, Artis Williams, John Williams and Annie Smith.
