J.C. Griffin

J.C. Griffin, 76, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Holly Springs, died June 10, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. He was a member of Beverly Chapel CME Church and retired from GMC Construction.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on June 23 from 6-7 p.m. and on June 24 at Beverly Chapel CME Church from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Willie Hoey will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He leaves his daughters, Alberta Collins of Washington, D.C., Nicole Williams, Elwina Williams, both of Memphis; sons, J.C. Griffin Jr., Ricky Griffin, Eric Williams, all of Memphis, Everett Suggs of Gretna, La.; sisters, Joyce Griffin, Kathy Griffin, both of Memphis, Deloris Ingram, Maggie Payne, both of Aurora, Ill.; brothers, Jerry Ingram of Memphis, Albert Lee Griffin, Lenwood Griffin, both of Holly Springs; several grand, great, and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, James Griffin; sister, Annie Seal Spears; and brother, L.C. Griffin.
