J.B. “Bull” Evans

J.B. “Bull” Evans, 71, of Holly Springs, died July 14, 2018, at Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven. He was employed with Mississippi Central Railroad for 30 years.

Services were held at 12 noon on July 21 at Hernando Road Church of Christ, where he was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Bro. Willie James Hampton officiated. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Eva Woodard-Evans; six daughters, Bernice Matthews (Randy) of Holly Springs, Chiquita Evans, Linda Woodard Anderson, Cathy Genesy (Roland), Sherry Stewart (Lynn), all of Memphis, Tenn., Tamara Jeffries (Charles) of Olive Branch; six brothers, Hoise Evans (Birdie), C.W. Evans (Mary),  Percy L. Evans Jr., all of Ashland, MacArthur Evans (Brenda) of Collierville, Tenn., Lee Andrew Evans (Sherry) of Potts Camp, Bobby Evans (Sharon), of Holly Springs; five sisters, Mary Young (Jimmy), Maude Mason (Lonnie), both of Ashland, Queen Crawford (Ray) of Olive Branch, Renell Harris (James), Sandra Webster (Roy) of Holly Springs; 10 stepbrothers and sisters; 20 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son Jerry Evans Jr.; stepson Theartist Woodard, and a brother, Robert Lee Evans.
