Jason Friedel Brown

Jason Friedel Brown, 40, of Memphis, Tenn., died April 22 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. A member of Strawberry MB Church in Holly Springs, he was a disabled, self-employed barber.

Visitation will be April 27 from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home and at the church on April 28 from 10 to 10:55  a.m.

Services will be held at  11 a.m. on April 28 at Hopewell No. 1 MB Church in Holly Springs with burial in Strickland United Methodist Church Cemetery in Byhalia. Rev. Willie Jeffries will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He leaves three children, JaKayla Blackburn, Amaya Brown, Maliyah Blackburn of Fayetteville, Ark.; his father, John L. Brown of Holly Springs; a sister, Kellie Nicole Brown of Shreveport, La.; his grandmother, Mary J. Brown of Holly Springs; and a grandson.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Morise Jones Brown.
