Jannie Mae Tunstall

Jannie Mae Tunstall, 92, of Byhalia, died October 18, 2024, at her home in the Victoria community. She was a member of Newell Chapel CME Church and a homemaker.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Oct. 24 from 2-6 p.m. and at Newell Chapel CME Church on Oct. 25 from 11-11:55 a.m. with services at 12 noon. Rev. Curtis Nelson, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She leaves her daughters, Brenda Stewart of Grayslake, Ill., Patricia Ducksworth of Beach Park, Ill., Arelene Norman, Debra Osborne, both of Waukegan, Ill., Jacqueline Sharp of Memphis, Tenn., Annette Tate (David) of Southaven; sons, Donzell Dyall Tunstall, Irwin Tunstall (Sherrie), Lavon Tunstall, all of Byhalia, Tony Alexander Tunstall (Sade) of Olive Branch; sister, Minnie Bell Ingram of Byhalia; 31 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donzell Tunstall; children, Orlando Kilpatrick Jr., Jessie Lee Tunstall, Michelle Tunstall, Theresa Marshe Tunstall; siblings, Elease Benton, Sam Malone, Elmo Malone, R.E. Malone, Willis Malone, Willie Mae Freeman, Lee Russell Malone, Larry Malone, Dora Moffitt, Mary Lou Kizer, Ardean Riley, and Josephine "Doll" Moore.
