Janie Ilean Payne Foster

Janie Ilean Payne Foster, 54, of Hickory Flat, formerly of Holly Springs, died Jan. 5, 2019, at Baptist Hospital in New Albany. She was a former line leader at Dirt Cheap in Ashland, and a church usher.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Jan. 11, and from 9-9:55 a.m. at Providence M.B. Church, where she was a member, on Jan. 12 with services following at 10 a.m. Pastor Jermie Bowen will officiate. Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden.

She leaves her husband, Thomas J. Foster; three children, Glender Pace-Johnson (Lonnell) of Oxford, Eldreco Payne of Holly Springs, Darryl Porter of Olive Branch; four sisters, Linda Kay Payne of Holly Springs, Patricia Ann (Robert) Rucker of Oxford, Lourie Inez Payne of Tulsa, Okla., Carolyn (Raymond) Turnage of Holly Springs; four brothers, Harvey (Constance) Payne, Glen (Wanda) Payne, both of Holly Springs, Harold Payne of Denver, Colo., Willie Ray Payne of East St. Louis, Ill.; and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Theotis Payne and Stanley Payne.
