James A. Williams

James A. Williams, 78, of Michigan City, died January 6, 2022, at his home. He was a member of Miracle Temple Salt and Light Ministries in Lamar. He was a former truck driver and North District Constable and Deputy in Benton County for over 32 years.

Visitation will be held at Miracle Temple Church on Jan. 14 from 4:30-6:30 p.m., and Jan. 15 from 10-10:55 a.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Bishop L.T. Mason will officiate. Burial will be in Miracle Temple Cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, ReJean Allen Williams; four daughters, Sureather Patterson, Lorinda Terry, Lori Tucker, all of Lamar, Bianca Williams of Houston, Texas; three sons, Walter A. Williams Sr. of Ashland, Dwight Allen, Orlando Williams, both of Michigan City, one sister, Fannie Hudson of Lamar; one brother, Willie D. Williams of Michigan City; 27 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two children, Willie B. Williams and Doreather Williams; siblings, Napoleon Williams, Herman Williams, Harvester Williams, Harold Williams and Cora Griggs.
