James Thomas May

James Thomas May, 82, of Byhalia, died Dec. 6, 2019, in Memphis, Tenn. He was a Baptist and an auto salesman.

Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. on Dec. 12, at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Slayden Cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Maxine May; two sons, Tommy May (Beth) and Bob May (Wendy), both of Slayden; four daughters, Debbie White (Michael) of Byhalia, Tish Buchanan (Zane) of Southaven, Angela Roberts (Malcolm) of Millington, Tenn., Amanda Welch of Cordova, Tenn.; one sister, Patsy Pitts (Glen) of Memphis; 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynde May.
