James Lloyd "Pops"Smith

James Lloyd "Pops" Smith, 66, of Byhalia, died August 30, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was a forklift driver for Sears and American Plastic Toys.

A celebration of life memorial service was held at 12 p.m. on Sept. 5 at Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home in Hernando.

He leaves his daughters, Elaine May of Byhalia, Amanda Wade of Calif., Marla Wilbanks (Dustin) of Southaven; sons, Skylar Smith (Marlee) of Oxford, Eric Hunt of Calif.; sisters, Lisa White (Carl) of Collierville, Tenn., Hazel Johnson (Cecil) of Potts Camp, Robbie Anderson (Bob) of Olive Branch, Joann Mize of Senatobia, Debra Brewer of Coldwater; brothers, John Henry Smith (Becky) of Oxford, Champ Smith (Kathy) of Holly Springs; 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Mattie Smith.
