James L. Washington

James L. Washington, 63, of Olive Branch, died May 8, 2021, at Methodist Hospital of Germantown in Germantown, Tenn. He was a member of Greenwood MB Church in Lamar where he served on the deacon board, finance committee and was in the male chorus. He was a batch maker for W.M. Barr Company in Memphis, Tenn., for 43 years.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on May 15 from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., and at Greenwood MB Church from 4-6 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on May 16 at Greenwood MB Church Cemetery. Min. Marquez Washington will officiate.

He leaves his wife, Natalie Faye Hoyle Washington; two children, Terence Washington of Falkner, Marquez Washington of Olive Branch; father, James Washington Jr. of Ashland; mother, Pearlie Mae Preston Washington of Ashland; four sisters, Elaine Hampton, Sandra Bowen, both of Ashland, Annette Seldon of Red Banks, Sharon Franklin of Olive Branch; two brothers, Dewayne Washington, Kelvin Washington, both of Olive Branch; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Washington and Leandrew Washington.
