James Guy Scales

James Guy Scales, 84, of Waterford, died October 27, 2022, at Methodist Olive Branch Hospital. He was a member of Walton Chapel CME Church were he served as a church trustee and steward. He was a farmer.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Nov. 2 from 6-7:30 p.m. and on Nov. 3 at Mt. Ollie MB Church in Potts Camp from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Anthony Marion will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Myra Isom Scales; daughters, Andrea Scales of Cordova, Tenn., Tonza Scales of Oxford; sons, Kelvin Scales of New Albany, Osborn Scales of Clarksville, Tenn.; sisters, Pauline Scales, Nadine Scales, both of Holly Springs; brother, Willie Scales of Holly Springs; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
