James Elmore Davis

James Elmore Davis, 63, of Holly Springs, died Nov. 13, 2016, at his home. A U.S. Army veteran, he was a member of Christ Temple COGIC. He was a former janitor and maintenance worker for the DeSoto County School System.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 19 at Davis Temple Church in Holly Springs. Burial was in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Pastor Robert Davis officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves two children, Natasha Harden of Byhalia, TaQuanda Bowens of Orlando, Fla.; two brothers, Pastor Robert Davis of New Albany, Terry Davis of Holly Springs; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda Davis Finley and Ethel Jeanette Ayers.
