James Edward Houston, 86, of Hernando, died July 27, 2021, at Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven. He was a member of Colonial Hill Baptist Church and a machinist. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Services were held at 10 a.m. on Aug. 2 at Bluff Springs Baptist Church in Ashland with burial in the church cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Leathie Houston; son, Jim Houston (Lisa) of Hernando; daughter, Teresa Ivy of Nixa, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
