James Butler Sr.

James Butler Sr., 84, of Byhalia, died Sept. 22, 2017. He was the widower of Frankie Butler.
Services were held at 1 p.m. on Sept. 30 at Mt. Pisgah CME Church in Byhalia, where he was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pastor Eddie Joe Wilson officiated. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his children, Dan Butler, Stella Jackson, Larry Butler (Linda Ann), James Butler Jr. (Bonnie), Carrie Payne (Charles), Clayborne Beard; a sister, Lenoria Butler; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and a daughter-in-law, Cathy Butler.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Butler.
