James Afford "Bubba"Davis

James Afford "Bubba" Davis, 64, of Byhalia, died Feb. 21, 2021 at his home. He was a member of Norris Road Christ Church of Memphis, Tenn., and a former employee of MBI (ImageWorks) in Memphis.

Graveside services were held at 12 noon on Feb. 28 at Wall Hill Christ Church. Pastor David Shipp officiated. Gillespie Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves four children, Darius Fitts, LeWonda Davis, Tearsha Fitts, Kevin Davis; four sisters, Glaydes Barber (Tony), Lorean Cathey (Carson), Crisandra Mims, Delbra Mckinney (Barnard); five brothers, Van Davis (Marilyn), John Davis, Frankie Davis, Jerome McClarty (Belinda), Leenorris Davis (Lisa); and eight grandchildren.

He was preceeded in death by his father, Nathaniel Davis Sr.; mother, Dorothy Mae Myles-Davis McClarty; step-father, JB McClarty; sister, Rosie Jean Butler; sister-in-law, Patricia Davis; brothers, Nathaniel Davis Jr. and Lee Dorsey Davis.
