Jackie Mitchell Martin

Jackie Mitchell Martin, 64, of Byhalia, died Sept. 2, 2019, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was a self-employed construction worker and a member of Union Valley MB Church in Byhalia.

Visitation will be held on Sept. 13 from 2-7 p.m. at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home, and on Sept. 14 from 9-9:55 a.m. at UnionValley MB Church. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Rev. Joe Richmond will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He leaves four children, Lolita Newsom, Marquita Martin, Andrea Martin, all of Memphis, Anthony Martin of Cleveland, Tenn.; nine sisters, Gloria Jones of Memphis, Sherona Howell of Byhalia, Renachia Martin of Victoria, Chandra Martin, Joe Ann Martin, Irma Armstrong, Vehonda Corley, Sarah Parker and Kimberly Hardaway, all of Memphis; three brothers, Fred Eason of Milwaukee, Wisc., Gregory Martin of Memphis, Dominic Martin of Victoria; his fianceé, Willie Jan Davis of Byhalia; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
