Ivion Mae Marion Crittle

Ivion Mae Marion Crittle, 86, of Holly Springs, died July 6, 2017, at her home. The widow of Gus John Crittle, she was a member of Hopewell No. 1 MB Church in Holly Springs, where she was a Sunday school teacher, a choir member, on the Mother’s Board and was assistant church clerk. She was a lifetime member of the NAACP.

Visitation will be July 14, 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home and July 15, from 10-10:55 a.m. at the church.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on July 15 at Hopewell No. 1 with burial in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Rev. Leroy James will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

She leaves five children, Lena Mae Harris of Aurora, Ill., Bertha Crittle of Shanon, Dr. John W. Crittle II of Holly Springs, Gus Lee Crittle Jr. of Jackson, Micheal D. Crittle of Holly Springs; a sister, Easter Marion of Holly Springs; a brother, James W. Marion of St. Louis, Mo.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gussie LaJean Crittle.
