Iola Elizabeth Batts Tucker

Iola Elizabeth Batts Tucker, 81, of Lamar, died Oct. 14, 2018, at her home. A former factory worker and Rust College employee, she retired from domestic work in 2006.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 3 at Sand Hill MB Church, where she was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pastor Darrell Mays officiated. Serenity-Autry Funeral  Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves four children, Larry Columbus, Trent Lenell Tucker, both of Lamar, Isa Dale Faulk (Leon) of Radcliff, Ky., Brenda Joyce Linsey (Elder Calvin) of Memphis, Tenn.;  three sisters, Edna Mae Rucker of Collierville, Tenn., Lucille Gordon of Michigan City, Betty Lee Paige of Lamar; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by two children Minister George Batts and Myra Ann Tucker; three brothers, Johnny Go, James Henry, James Jr. Batts; and a sister, Mae Peterson.
