Ida Mae Hardaway Cain

Ida Mae Hardaway Cain, 75, of Byhalia, died Feb. 21, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Collierville, Tenn. She was a member of Hearn Grove MB Church. She was a former crossing guard in Nassau County, New York.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Feb. 28, from 2-6 p.m., and at Bibleway Outreach Fellowship in Byhalia on Feb. 29 from 10-10:55 a.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Bishop Renzil Barringer will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She leaves a sister who was also her caregiver, Ada Hardaway Wilkins of Byhalia; two brothers, Roosevelt Hardaway of Holly Springs and Tommie Hardaway of Byhalia; and her niece who was also her caregiver, Patty Hardaway of Byhalia.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Alma Ree Hardaway, Rosie Lee Tennial, Bernice Woods, Earline Wicks, Felix Hardaway, Frankie Butler, Joe Dudley Hardaway, and Willie Mae Wiggley.
