Herbert Craine

Herbert Craine, 62, of Ripley, died December 3, 2024, at Tippah County Hospital. He was a member of Samuel Chapel MB Church in Ashland.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 8 at Samuel Chapel MB Church. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Paulette Duncan Craine; son, Alwinzo Craine of Corinth; daughter, Alicia Craine Carter (Tony) of Tupelo; father, Gholson Glover of Holly Springs; sisters, May Scruggs, Emma Hudson, both of Ashland, Nancy Cox of Ripley, Velma Pegues (Alex) of Pontotoc, Carolyn Glover Falkner, Aniya Walton, both of Holly Springs; brothers, William Scruggs of Ashland, Clarence Scruggs (Cortennia) of Lamar, J.W. Scruggs of Ripley, Sandy Jenkins, Charles Glover, Gholson Glover Jr., Grant Glover, David Glover, Robert Bady, all of Holly Springs; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary L. Craine Scruggs.
